How long does a liver function test take to work for fatty liver disease?

What the result means
The panel can measure liver enzymes, bilirubin, albumin and other markers. Fatty liver disease may be present with normal results, especially early on, while abnormal results can have several causes. A clinician may interpret the report alongside your weight history, diabetes or cholesterol risk, examination, ultrasound and tests that assess scarring.
