Follow instructions about prescribed medicines and hydration. Keep your review appointments even when symptoms improve, because symptom relief cannot replace assessment of the urinary tract and surrounding areas.

Get urgent advice for fever with urinary symptoms, inability to pass urine, heavy bleeding or clots, severe flank pain, repeated vomiting, confusion or breathlessness. These signs can signal infection, blockage or treatment toxicity and should not wait for the next scheduled cycle.
