IVF involves ovarian stimulation, monitoring, egg collection, fertilisation in the laboratory, and embryo transfer or storage. Being an expat resident does not change those clinical stages, but your clinic may need identity documents, residency information, marriage or consent documents, and a clear medical history. Rules and clinic policies can depend on current UAE requirements and the circumstances of both partners.

Ask the clinic for its current document checklist and whether originals, translations, or attestations are needed. Confirm who must attend appointments, how monitoring visits fit around work or travel, and how medicines will be supplied and stored. Request written instructions in a language you understand. Plan where you will stay near monitoring or procedures, and ask how results, embryo storage, and follow-up will be handled if you leave the UAE.

Contact the fertility team promptly if you develop severe abdominal pain, marked bloating, breathing difficulty, faintness, heavy bleeding, or reduced urine during treatment. Before travelling, ask when it is medically suitable, which records you should carry, and who will manage urgent concerns after you return home.

Ask which UAE rules and clinic policies apply to your family, what documents each partner needs, how many visits are expected, and how care continues across borders. Ask for a written medication and emergency plan.
