Typhoid fever is an infection that can cause fever, weakness, abdominal symptoms and changes in bowel habit. The antibiotic choice depends on local resistance patterns and your individual circumstances, so do not use leftover antibiotics or share them. Severe illness may require hospital care for fluids and observation.
