Granuloma annulare often appears as ring-shaped or grouped bumps. A steroid injected into a lesion can reduce local immune activity, which may soften or flatten that specific area. It is most practical when there are limited, accessible lesions; widespread disease may need a different approach. Changes in colour or texture can remain after inflammation settles.
