Treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma may affect ovarian function or sperm production. The impact varies with the medicines, dose, treatment area and whether treatment is repeated or intensified. Preservation stores reproductive material before exposure. It does not remove the need for cancer treatment and does not predict exactly how the body will recover afterward. Some people may retain fertility without using stored material.
