How effective is carboxytherapy for stretch marks?

Stretch marks, or striae, form when the deeper skin stretches and its supportive fibres change. Carboxytherapy introduces medical carbon dioxide through a fine needle, creating a local response that may support changes in circulation and skin remodelling. The marks are not simply surface dirt or damage that can be wiped away.

Newer marks may be red, pink or purple, while older marks are often pale and slightly indented. Their age, width, body location and contrast with surrounding skin can affect how noticeable any change becomes. Texture and colour may improve differently.

Arrange an examination with a qualified clinician, especially if the marks appeared suddenly, are widespread, or followed steroid use. Discuss pregnancy or breastfeeding, medicines, skin conditions, a tendency to form raised scars, and any recent tanning or irritation.
