How common is radiating leg pain in spinal stenosis?

These features can guide an assessment, but they do not identify the cause without considering your examination and history.

Use comfortable walking intervals, rest when symptoms build, and consider positions that reduce leg discomfort. A clinician can review walking tolerance, balance, strength, sensation, and back movement. Physiotherapy may focus on flexibility, trunk and leg strength, and practical ways to stay active safely.

Arrange care if walking distance is shrinking, leg symptoms are persistent, or weakness affects daily tasks. Seek urgent help for rapidly worsening weakness, new loss of bladder or bowel control, numbness around the genitals or inner thighs, or inability to walk safely.
