How common is neck lump in thyroid cancer?

A thyroid-related lump may be felt low in the front of the neck and may move when swallowing. Thyroid cancer can also involve nearby lymph nodes, causing swelling elsewhere in the neck. Benign thyroid nodules, cysts, and inflammation can produce similar findings. Size, firmness, and movement provide clues but cannot confirm whether a lump is cancerous.
