How common is an itchy throat in allergic rhinitis?

Allergic rhinitis happens when the immune system reacts to an inhaled trigger such as pollen, dust, mould, or animal particles. Irritation can be felt at the back of the throat when allergens pass through the nose and mouth, or when mucus drains from the nose. An itchy nose, repeated sneezing, watery eyes, and a clear runny nose can occur in the same episode.
