Homeopathic remedies for lichen planus

Lichen planus can cause itchy, raised bumps or irritated patches on the skin. It may also affect the mouth, scalp, nails, or genital skin. A product labelled homeopathic may be highly diluted, but that does not establish that it controls the immune inflammation behind the condition. Some products can also contain active ingredients or alcohol, interact with medicines, or delay useful treatment.

A clinician can confirm the diagnosis because several rashes resemble lichen planus. Symptoms such as itchy skin and skin bumps can have more than one cause.

Arrange a dermatology assessment if the rash is new, spreading, very itchy, or affecting sensitive areas. Take a photo of any product you are considering and share every supplement or remedy with the clinician. Avoid scratching, fragranced products, and unverified creams on broken skin.
