Hives at night gone in the morning

Short answer
Hives that appear at night and fade by morning are often transient welts, but recurring episodes still need trigger review.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Why they may disappear
A hive can swell quickly and then settle as the skin reaction eases, while another welt may appear in a different spot. Heat under covers, sweating, pressure from a mattress, or contact with detergent and fabric can explain a nighttime pattern. The absence of marks in the morning does not prove the trigger or rule out urticaria. If one lesion remains fixed, leaves bruising, or feels sore rather than itchy, tell a clinician because that pattern is less typical of ordinary hives.
How to track and reduce episodes
Photograph the rash before it fades. Write down your evening meal, medicines, supplements, shower temperature, exercise, sleepwear, bedding, and skincare products. Wash bedding with a fragrance-free product and keep the room comfortably cool while you look for patterns. Avoid scratching and use a cool compress. Ask a pharmacist whether oral antihistamine treatment fits your age, pregnancy status, medical history, and other medicines; follow the product directions.
When medical help is needed
Get emergency help for breathing difficulty, dizziness or faintness, trouble swallowing, throat tightness, or swelling of the tongue, lips, or face. Angioedema can occur with hives and may affect deeper tissue. Book a review when episodes recur, spread, interfere with sleep, follow a new medicine, or become painful. Urgent assessment is also appropriate for blistering, fever, or skin that looks bruised after the swelling fades.
Questions to bring
Does the short duration fit hives? What details in my evening routine are most useful to record? What should I do if the rash returns with swelling, and when would a different diagnosis be considered?
