What should you know about gluten skin rash photos?

A photograph can record colour, scale, borders and distribution, yet lighting and skin tone can change how a rash appears. A rash associated with coeliac disease is a specific condition called dermatitis herpetiformis; it is not the same as every rash after eating bread or pasta. Itching, burning, swelling, fever, new medicines and recent products provide useful context.

Seek urgent help for a rash with trouble breathing, swelling of the lips or tongue, faintness, rapidly spreading blisters, skin peeling, severe pain, or sores involving the eyes or mouth. Prompt medical review is also sensible for fever, pus, marked tenderness, or a rash that is spreading or not settling.
