How to get rid of a swollen lip

Swelling may follow a bite, injury, chapped skin, infection, dental problem, cosmetic product, medicine, or allergic reaction. Sudden swelling of the lips can be angioedema, a deeper swelling that may occur with hives or without visible skin changes.
