How to get rid of moles on the face

A mole is a cluster of pigment-producing cells that can be flat or raised, smooth or hairy, and vary in colour. Many remain stable, but a new or changing spot deserves a proper look. A photograph or online description cannot determine whether a mole is suitable for cosmetic removal or needs laboratory examination.

A dermatologist first examines the mole and the surrounding skin.
