What should you know about full body rash adult?

Note when the rash began, where it started, whether it itches or hurts, and whether it is scaly, raised, blistered, ring-shaped, or changing. Most people with atopic dermatitis notice intense itching; contact dermatitis follows exposure to an irritant or allergen; heat rash clusters in warm, sweaty areas. Psoriasis can form well-defined scaly plaques, while ringworm often forms expanding scaly rings.

Scabies commonly causes intense itch that may worsen at night and can affect close contacts. Intertrigo develops in skin folds. A drug rash can begin after a new medicine, but timing and examination are needed to identify the cause.

Arrange a medical assessment, especially when the rash is widespread, new, or unexplained. Photograph it in good light and list recent medicines, foods, products, travel, illness, heat exposure, and contact with anyone who is itchy. Use lukewarm water, fragrance-free cleanser, loose clothing, and a plain moisturiser. Avoid scratching, new cosmetics, and leftover prescription creams until advised.

Seek urgent care for trouble breathing, swelling of the lips or tongue, faintness, a rapidly spreading rash, skin pain, widespread blisters, peeling, purple spots that do not fade with pressure, or sores in the mouth or eyes. Fever with a very unwell feeling also needs prompt assessment, particularly after starting a medicine.
