What should you know about freeze skin tags liquid nitrogen?

Liquid nitrogen is an extremely cold material used in controlled cryotherapy. Applied briefly to a selected lesion, it freezes cells so the treated tissue can separate as the skin heals. The site may sting during treatment and later blister, swell, crust, or temporarily change colour. The response depends on the lesion and the treatment depth.

A clinician should inspect the growth before freezing, because a mole, wart, cyst, or other lesion may resemble a skin tag. Tell the clinician about poor circulation, reduced sensation, diabetes, immune problems, or previous abnormal scars. Follow the wound-care instructions, keep the area clean, and leave any blister roof or crust undisturbed unless advised otherwise.

Arrange review for worsening pain, spreading redness, warmth, pus, fever, a wound that is not healing as expected, or a growth that returns or changes. Seek urgent help for heavy bleeding, severe swelling close to the eye, or symptoms of a serious reaction. Do not re-treat a persistent lesion without confirming what it is.
