Short answer

A Euroline food intolerance test should be interpreted cautiously because food intolerance is assessed through symptoms, history and targeted evaluation.

This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Useful record
Food, portion, timing and symptom diary
Main caution
Do not treat a panel result as proof on its own

Clinician or dietitian review

What the result means

Food intolerance describes difficulty digesting or reacting to a food without the immune mechanism typical of an immediate food allergy. A commercial blood panel may not establish that a food causes your symptoms. A result should therefore be considered alongside what you ate, how much you ate, how soon symptoms appeared and whether the pattern repeats.

Bloating and Diarrhoea can have many causes, including infection, medication effects and other digestive conditions. A positive panel should not automatically lead to a long list of exclusions, while a negative result does not rule out every food-related problem. A clinician can explain whether formal Food Intolerance Testing is appropriate.

Practical next steps

Keep a food-and-symptom diary for a short, defined period, recording ingredients, portions, timing, bowel changes and other symptoms. Take the report and diary to a clinician or registered dietitian. They may suggest a focused elimination followed by planned reintroduction, depending on your history.

Avoid broad restriction without support, especially if you are pregnant, a child, underweight or already eating a limited diet. Nutrition Counselling can help protect adequate fibre, protein and micronutrient intake while testing a specific dietary explanation. Seek advice before excluding staple foods for a prolonged period.

When to seek care

Seek urgent care for severe or persistent abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, blood or black stool, fainting, marked dehydration, or swelling of the lips or throat with breathing difficulty. These features need medical assessment rather than self-directed diet changes.

Book a review if diarrhoea continues, symptoms wake you at night, you lose weight without trying, or the pattern is interfering with work, sleep or eating. A clinician can decide whether examination or further testing is needed.

Questions for your doctor

What does this panel actually measure, and does it match my symptoms? Which foods, if any, should I trial removing? How will we reintroduce them safely, and do I need a dietitian or a different investigation?
