What should you know about an Entresto skin rash?

A drug rash can appear as red or itchy patches, raised bumps, hives, or widespread peeling. The timing after starting Entresto, changing its dose, or adding another medicine can help a clinician assess the cause. A rash can also come from contact with a product, heat, infection, or an existing condition such as Atopic Dermatitis or Contact Dermatitis. Do not assume the rash proves Entresto is responsible.

Take photographs in good light and record when the rash began, where it started, how it has spread, and whether it itches or hurts. List every prescription, supplement, and non-prescription product used recently. Speak with the prescriber before changing a heart-failure medicine; they can decide whether it should be paused or replaced. Avoid new creams and fragranced products until the skin has been assessed, and use a bland moisturiser if it does not sting.
