What should you know about electric razor ingrown hairs?

An electric razor cuts hair close to the surface. As the tip grows, it can bend into the surrounding skin instead of moving outward. The area may become itchy, tender, or raised, with a visible hair or small spot beneath the surface. Friction, repeated passes, a close shave, and naturally curly or coarse hair can make the problem more likely.
