Your team can explain whether the finding affects classification, prognosis discussions or eligibility for a treatment pathway.

Ask for the exact wording of the pathology result and which method produced it. Confirm whether the sample was adequate and whether additional molecular tests are recommended. Treatment may involve brain tumour surgery, radiotherapy or other specialist care, selected according to the tumour’s location, grade, symptoms and molecular profile. Keep copies of imaging and pathology reports when seeking another opinion.
