Can dyshidrotic eczema spread by touch?

Dyshidrotic eczema is an inflammatory reaction that commonly causes itchy blisters on the hands and feet. It is not passed between people by shaking hands, sharing a home, or touching an affected area. A flare can appear in more than one place on your own body because several sites are exposed to the same irritants, sweat, friction, or triggers. New blisters do not prove that contact transmitted the condition.

Continue ordinary contact with family and colleagues, while covering cracked areas with a clean dressing if they are rubbing against surfaces. Wash gently, moisturise regularly, and avoid scratching or bursting blisters.
