Mnemonic for Drugs That Cause Stevens-Johnson Syndrome

Short answer
A mnemonic may help recall medicine groups linked with Stevens-Johnson syndrome, but it cannot identify the trigger or replace urgent medical assessment.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Using a mnemonic safely
Memory aids commonly group examples such as some antibiotics, seizure medicines, anti-inflammatory pain medicines, and gout medicines. They are not complete lists, and brand names vary by country. The timing of each medicine, recent dose changes, and the clinical pattern matter more than matching a word to a list. SJS may begin with fever, sore throat, tiredness, or burning eyes, followed by painful red or dusky skin, blisters, peeling, or sores on the mouth, eyes, or genital skin. A routine drug rash can look different, but early overlap means a suspected severe reaction should be reviewed promptly.
What to do with the list
If you develop a concerning rash after taking a medicine, record the exact product name, dose, start date, and last dose, then seek urgent medical advice. Bring every medicine packet and supplement. Do not deliberately test a suspected medicine again, and do not discard the packaging before assessment. A drug-rash overview can explain why clinicians ask about exposure timing. Treatment decisions, including whether oral corticosteroid treatment is appropriate, belong to the treating team.
Do not wait with these signs
Emergency assessment is needed for painful spreading rash, blistering, peeling skin, fever with marked weakness, mouth or throat sores, eye pain or vision change, genital sores, breathing difficulty, or inability to drink. These symptoms can involve the skin’s protective barrier or moist linings. Avoid applying new products over the rash while travelling for care, and ask someone to accompany you if you feel unwell.
Questions for your doctor
Which medicine or ingredient is the leading concern? Should the suspected reaction be recorded as SJS, a drug eruption, or another diagnosis? Which medicines are safe alternatives? How should I explain this history before future prescriptions, vaccinations, dental treatment, or emergency care?

Questions people ask
Can a mnemonic tell me which medicine caused SJS?
No. A clinician must compare the full medicine history, timing, examination, and symptoms; do not restart a suspected trigger to test it.
What is the most useful information to record?
Record product names, doses, start dates, recent changes, last doses, and the first day each symptom appeared.
