Does vaginal pessary fitting treat cystocele?

A cystocele, also called bladder prolapse, occurs when the tissue between the bladder and front wall of the vagina loses support. This may create pressure, a bulge or difficulty emptying the bladder. A pessary sits in the vagina and helps hold the front wall and bladder in a more supported position.

Relief varies. Some people notice easier movement or less pressure, while others need a different device or another approach. A good fit should be comfortable and should not obstruct urination or cause ongoing rubbing.
