Does targeted radioisotope therapy treat neuroendocrine tumours?

A carrier molecule is paired with a radioisotope. The carrier travels to neuroendocrine tumour cells displaying the matching target, allowing radiation to be delivered near those cells. This approach is often considered when disease cannot be managed adequately with an operation or other medicines, but the exact role depends on tumour site, grade, spread, prior treatment, and scan findings.
