Does scar revision surgery treat burn scars?

A burn scar may be raised, depressed, widened, contracted, or positioned where it restricts movement. Revision surgery removes or rearranges part of the scar and closes the area in a way intended to create a more functional or less noticeable line. It does not erase the history of the injury, and the revised area will still form a scar as it heals.
