These measures can help maintain intake and support recovery, but surgery, radiotherapy, medicines or other cancer-directed care are considered separately by the oncology team.

Tell your team about coughing during meals, food sticking, mouth pain, dry mouth, taste changes and reduced drinking. Follow texture or swallowing instructions carefully, sit upright for meals when advised, and use mouth-care guidance from your clinicians.
