Discuss the expected scar, reconstruction options when the site is delicate, and how the pathology result will be handled. After surgery, keep the wound clean and covered as instructed, avoid stretching the area until advised, and use sun protection once healing allows. Continue skin checks because a treated cancer and new lesions both deserve attention.

Ask for urgent wound advice if bleeding continues despite pressure, the wound opens, or pain, swelling, warmth, pus, or fever is increasing.
