Does chemical peel treat sun-damaged skin?

Sun-damaged skin may look uneven, feel rough, develop fine lines, or show darker spots. A peel removes a controlled amount of surface cells, which can make texture and superficial discolouration look smoother. It does not remove every abnormal spot or rebuild deeper support in the skin. Avoid using retinoids, exfoliating acids, or abrasive scrubs around treatment unless your clinician gives a schedule. Afterward, moisturise as directed and use broad light protection every day to reduce further exposure and help prevent uneven colour.
