Does anti-inflammatory medication treat herniated disc?

A herniated disc can irritate a nearby nerve, causing back pain, leg pain, tingling, or weakness. Medication can calm inflammatory irritation and make movement easier while the body recovers. It does not put the disc material back in place, and relief does not prove that the nerve problem has resolved.
