Eyebrow transplantation places selected hair follicles into areas where eyebrow hair is sparse or absent. Because eyebrows are small, visible facial features, planning includes symmetry, arch shape, hair direction, follicle spacing, and the type of donor hair. A trichology team may assess hair growth and skin health, but the clinician performing implantation should have appropriate medical training and experience with delicate facial work. The consultation should identify each person’s role.

Arrange an examination of both eyebrows, the surrounding skin, and the donor area. Mention plucking history, scars, thyroid or skin concerns, sudden loss, medicines, and previous cosmetic procedures. Ask to see a proposed design rather than relying on a generic shape. Confirm who performs harvesting and placement, how follicles will be angled, how the area is protected afterward, and how trimming may be needed as transplanted hair grows.

Get medical review before cosmetic treatment if eyebrow loss is sudden, patchy, itchy, scaly, painful, or accompanied by loss of lashes or scalp hair. After transplantation, report worsening redness, pus, fever, severe pain, wound separation, or persistent bleeding. Rapid facial swelling or breathing difficulty requires urgent care.

Ask how symmetry will be measured, where donor follicles will come from, who places each follicle, and how natural direction will be recreated. Discuss scar visibility, trimming, recovery, follow-up, and what evaluation is needed if an inflammatory or hormonal cause of hair loss is possible.
