What should you know about dissolving filler before and after?

Before treatment, the clinician checks whether the filler is hyaluronic acid and whether the concern is swelling, migration, overcorrection, a nodule, or another problem. After hyaluronidase, the area may look temporarily swollen, uneven, or less supported while tissues respond. The original contour may not return instantly, and the lips or nearby skin can appear different as fluid and filler volume change.

Bring the product details, injection date, treatment area, photographs, and information about allergies or previous reactions. Follow the clinic’s instructions about touching the area, exercise, heat, and other injections. Take clear photographs in consistent lighting if your clinician requests them. Delay a new filler or fat transfer decision until the treated tissue has been reviewed and the new baseline is clear.

Seek prompt advice for increasing pain, pale or dusky skin, marked warmth, spreading redness, pus, fever, or swelling that worsens instead of settling. Any visual disturbance, severe headache, facial weakness, or speech difficulty after an injection warrants emergency assessment.
