Suitability depends on the diagnosis, pigment depth, recent tanning, and your history of dark marks after procedures. Follow-up matters so treatment can be adjusted if irritation appears.

Seek assessment for a spot that changes shape or colour, bleeds, crusts, becomes tender, or does not heal. Get prompt help for spreading warmth, swelling, pus, severe pain, or fever. Book a routine dermatology visit when marks keep returning, multiply, or do not improve after the trigger has stopped, especially if the diagnosis is uncertain.
