What should you know about cure for itchy groin?

Intertrigo develops where skin rubs together and moisture becomes trapped, producing soreness, redness, or a raw feeling. A skin yeast infection may occur in warm, moist folds and can cause a sharply uncomfortable rash. Fragranced products, tight clothing, shaving, and sweat can also irritate the area.

The groin can have more than one problem at once. A clinician may look at the border, folds, nearby skin, and any discharge or blisters before choosing treatment. Avoid assuming every groin rash is fungal.
