What should you know about cryo skin tag removal?

A skin tag is a soft growth that commonly appears where skin rubs, including the neck, underarms, eyelids, or skin folds. A clinician first checks that the growth has the expected appearance. Liquid nitrogen is then applied to the tag and sometimes its base. The treated spot may sting or feel cold, followed by redness, swelling, blistering, crusting, or temporary color change. The tag may darken and shrink as the area heals.

Ask for a review if pain intensifies, warmth and redness spread beyond the treated area, pus-like drainage appears, or the wound remains open without expected improvement. Seek prompt advice if the growth returns with a different appearance or the diagnosis becomes uncertain. Get urgent help for heavy bleeding, facial swelling, or breathing difficulty.
