Who invented the cholera vaccine?

Early cholera vaccine work explored preparations made from killed cholera bacteria. Later development refined how vaccines are produced, given, and evaluated for different populations. Modern oral products are the result of accumulated laboratory, clinical, manufacturing, and public-health expertise.
