Cheek Filler to Reduce Eye Bags

Under-eye bags can reflect a hollow between the lower eyelid and cheek, a bulging fat pad, loose eyelid skin, fluid-related puffiness, pigmentation, or a combination. Cheek filler is aimed at contour and support; it is not a treatment for every form of swelling. A clinician should examine the area in different expressions and consider whether the concern is better described as tear trough hollows or droopy eyelids.

Because the eye area is delicate, the plan should be conservative and anatomically specific. Possible effects include bruising, swelling, tenderness, unevenness, a bluish cast, persistent puffiness, infection, and rare circulation or vision problems.

Call the clinic if swelling is increasing, redness spreads, pain becomes stronger, or discharge appears. Get urgent help for marked pain, pale or mottled skin, blistering, sudden vision change, facial weakness, confusion, or a severe headache. Eye symptoms after facial injection should be treated as urgent, even if the treated area looks small.
