Can alcohol use disorder cause pancreatitis?

Go to an emergency service for severe or worsening abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, fever, fainting, confusion, yellowing of the skin or eyes, breathing difficulty, or inability to drink. Pancreatitis can become dangerous through dehydration, infection, or effects on other organs. Call for urgent help if alcohol withdrawal brings seizures, hallucinations, or severe confusion.
