Stop wearing the garment and obtain prompt advice for new pins and needles, loss of sensation, sharp pain, pale or blue skin, cold fingers or toes, blistering, or swelling that collects beyond an edge. Warm, red and increasingly painful skin, particularly with fever or chills, can signal infection and requires prompt medical assessment. Sudden chest pain or difficulty breathing is an emergency.
