Belotero lip filler: before and after

Before-and-after photographs are useful only when lighting, angle, facial expression and timing are comparable. They show one person's outcome, not a promise of how another person's lips will respond.

Belotero is a hyaluronic-acid filler product line. In the lips, an appropriate formulation may be used to add subtle volume, define the border, support the corners or improve balance between the upper and lower lip. Product choice, injection depth and placement matter as much as the brand name.

The first look may include puffiness, tenderness, small injection marks, bruising or temporary unevenness. A later comparison is more informative after these reactions have settled. Existing asymmetry can often be softened, although perfectly identical sides are not a realistic biological target.

Choose a licensed, appropriately trained injector who assesses lip anatomy and discusses a conservative plan. Mention previous filler, cold sores, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, medicines and supplements, and any dental work or skin infection around the mouth.

Take neutral photographs in the same light and position before treatment. Afterwards, follow the injector's instructions, avoid pressing or massaging the area unless specifically advised, and do not judge symmetry while swelling is changing. Attend the planned review before deciding whether more product is appropriate.

Contact the treating clinic promptly for worsening pain, increasing redness, warmth, discharge, fever, persistent lumps or swelling that is intensifying rather than easing. Seek urgent medical assessment for pale, grey, dusky or mottled skin, severe pain, blistering, cool skin, or any change in vision; these can signal impaired blood flow or another serious reaction.

Ask which Belotero formulation is proposed, why it suits your anatomy, how the clinic manages vascular complications, what changes are achievable without overfilling, when photographs will be repeated, and who to contact outside normal hours if warning signs appear.
