Seek emergency help for trouble breathing, facial or throat swelling, faintness, or widespread hives. Sudden severe abdominal pain, repeated vomiting or a new bulge also needs urgent assessment because it may not be a routine injection reaction.

Ask what is causing the abdominal contour, what product and injection depth are planned, what experience the clinician has with this body area, and which effects should trigger a same-day call. Discuss whether skin laxity or abdominal wall separation will limit the visible result and how progress photographs will be standardised.
