What should you know about beginning of scarlet fever?

Scarlet fever is linked to the same type of bacteria that can cause Strep Throat. The illness may start with feeling unwell, chills, headache, a high temperature, and pain when swallowing. The rash often begins on the chest or stomach and can spread; the tongue may look red and bumpy. A rash is not enough to confirm the cause, because several illnesses can look similar.

Arrange a clinical assessment if fever, throat pain, or a rough rash develops, especially when symptoms appear together.
