What should you know about bakuchiol sun sensitivity?

Sun sensitivity means skin reacts unusually strongly to ultraviolet light, with symptoms such as redness, burning, itching, or a rash. Bakuchiol is a plant-derived skincare ingredient commonly used as a retinol alternative. It does not have the same usual reputation for increasing ultraviolet sensitivity as retinoids, yet any active product may cause dryness or irritation, especially when introduced quickly or combined with other exfoliating products.
