Ayurvedic medicine for excessive burping

Short answer
Ayurvedic digestive remedies may cause side effects and should not delay assessment of persistent burping.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

The short answer
Belching releases swallowed air and often improves after changes to eating habits. When it continues or occurs with heartburn, pain, swallowing trouble or weight loss, the underlying problem needs evaluation. Herbal mixtures are not interchangeable, so check the specific ingredients with a clinician or pharmacist.
What may be behind frequent burping
Swallowing extra air while eating quickly, talking during meals, chewing gum, smoking or drinking fizzy beverages can increase belching. Acid reflux commonly presents with burping alongside burning behind the breastbone or sour fluid in the mouth. Gastritis and hiatus hernia may also present with upper-abdominal discomfort or reflux symptoms. Burping by itself does not identify a single condition.
Changes worth trying
Eat more slowly, take smaller bites, keep your mouth closed while chewing and reduce fizzy drinks, gum and hard sweets. Notice whether a particular food, late meal or posture triggers symptoms. Avoid repeatedly forcing a burp, which can draw in more air. If you use an Ayurvedic product, record its name, ingredients and dose; stop and seek advice if it causes vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, dizziness or worsening pain.
When burping needs attention
Seek emergency help for chest pressure, breathing difficulty, fainting, vomit containing blood, black stools or sudden severe abdominal pain. Book a clinical review for progressive swallowing difficulty, repeated vomiting, unexplained weight loss, persistent heartburn, fever, abdominal swelling or symptoms that keep interfering with meals and sleep.
Preparing for a consultation
Bring a short symptom and food diary, noting heartburn, bloating, pain and bowel changes. Ask whether reflux, stomach inflammation, an infection or air-swallowing behaviour fits the pattern; whether testing is appropriate; and whether any current Ayurvedic ingredients interact with acid-reducing or other medicines.

Questions people ask
Which Ayurvedic herb stops excessive burping?
No single herb suits every cause of belching. Some preparations can irritate the stomach or interact with medicines, so identify the likely cause before choosing treatment.
Could burping be related to acid reflux?
Acid reflux often presents with belching, heartburn or a sour taste. Persistent symptoms merit assessment because other digestive problems can cause a similar pattern.
