After filler, seek urgent medical assessment for severe or increasing pain, pale or blotchy skin, a dusky colour, cool skin, blisters, or any change in vision. These can signal impaired blood flow and should not wait for a routine follow-up.

Contact the treating clinic promptly for worsening redness, warmth, pus, fever, marked swelling, or a lump that is painful or persistent. Call emergency services for breathing difficulty or swelling of the tongue or throat.

Ask who will perform the injections, what training they have, whether the product is approved for the intended use, and how they would respond to a vascular blockage. You can also ask whether filler or fat transfer better matches your goals and tolerance for recovery.
