A clinician places small amounts of a chosen formulation into or just beneath the skin across a treatment area. Products described as mesotherapy can differ substantially: they may contain hydrating substances, vitamins, medicines, or mixed ingredients. The name therefore does not identify one standard product or one predictable outcome. Ask for the exact product names, their intended purpose, and where they will be injected.

Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, itching, or bruising can follow the injections. The likely benefit and recovery pattern depend on the area treated, the ingredients used, and your skin and health history.

Choose a licensed clinician who examines your skin and explains why a particular formulation suits your goal. Share allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, bleeding problems, previous reactions to injections, active skin conditions, and every medicine or supplement you take. Do not stop prescribed medication unless the prescriber gives you instructions.

After treatment, follow the clinic's written skin-care advice. Avoid rubbing or pressing the sites, use only recommended products, and keep the area clean. If swelling or bruising is not settling as expected, contact the treating clinic and describe when it began and whether it is changing.

Seek prompt medical assessment for worsening pain, spreading redness, increasing warmth, pus, fever, blisters, skin that becomes unusually pale or dark, or swelling that continues to increase. Breathing difficulty, faintness, facial or throat swelling, or rapidly spreading hives may signal a severe allergic reaction and require emergency care.

Ask what each ingredient is meant to do, whether the product is intended for injection in that area, who will perform the procedure, what side effects are expected, and how complications are managed. Clarify what change would count as a worthwhile result for you and whether another injectable approach, such as skin boosters, better matches that aim.
