What to know about ACG glutathione

Glutathione is an antioxidant naturally present in the body. A product name alone does not show whether it is a cream, supplement or injectable preparation, and those forms have different considerations.

The useful details are on the packaging: the full ingredient list, formulation, directions, manufacturer and intended route. Claims about brightening or antioxidant support do not establish that a particular product will treat pigmentation or another skin condition. Products sold under similar names may not be interchangeable.

Check that the pack is sealed, legible and within its expiry date. Follow the stated route and do not inject, swallow or apply a preparation intended for another route. For a topical product, test a small area first and avoid broken or inflamed skin unless a clinician has instructed otherwise. Stop if irritation keeps worsening.
