The result of the test scheduled by your fertility clinic is more informative than changes in how you feel. Progesterone can cause breast soreness, constipation, bloating, discharge, or fatigue, while an early pregnancy may cause few noticeable symptoms. Mild spotting or cramping cannot confirm implantation or show whether a pregnancy is progressing.

If pregnancy hormone is detected, follow-up establishes what happens next. A clinic may use blood testing and an ultrasound at the appropriate stage to assess progression and confirm that the pregnancy is inside the womb. A single home test cannot provide those details.

Send the result to your clinic through its instructed contact route. With a positive result, ask for the follow-up schedule and keep taking every prescribed medicine. With a negative result, wait for the team's direction before stopping progesterone or other support. An invalid or conflicting result needs clinic advice rather than repeated testing at short intervals.

Until the outcome and medicine plan are clear, avoid starting supplements, herbal products, or over-the-counter medicines without checking their suitability. Keep hydrated, eat normally, and continue gentle everyday activity unless your care team has given personalised restrictions.

Call the clinic promptly if bleeding increases, pelvic discomfort worsens, vomiting persists, your abdomen becomes notably swollen, or you pass much less urine. Use emergency services for heavy bleeding, sudden or severe abdominal pain, pain focused on one side, shoulder-tip pain, fainting, pronounced dizziness, chest pain, or trouble breathing. A negative or positive test does not make these warning signs safe to watch at home.

Ask when the next contact, blood test, or scan is expected and exactly how long each medicine should continue. Clarify whom to call after hours, whether your current symptoms change the follow-up plan, and what support is available if the result is negative.
