Many clinics schedule a urine or blood pregnancy test around this point, but your clinic's date and test type take priority because protocols differ. Symptoms are not a reliable substitute for the planned test. Breast tenderness, bloating, tiredness, mild cramps, or no symptoms can occur whether or not the cycle has resulted in pregnancy; fertility medicines can produce similar sensations.

A positive result shows that pregnancy hormone was detected, but it does not by itself confirm where the pregnancy is developing. Your team may arrange another blood test or a later ultrasound, depending on its protocol and your symptoms.

Take the clinic-approved test at the instructed time and record the result. Contact the clinic with that result, including if it is negative or unclear, so the team can explain the next step. Do not repeat tests frequently to judge line darkness; hydration, test design, and timing can change how a home result looks.

Continue progesterone and every other prescribed medicine exactly as directed until the fertility team tells you to change or stop it. Normal daily movement is generally reasonable unless your clinic has set restrictions. Choose food, medicines, and supplements as though pregnancy may be present while you wait for confirmation.

Contact the fertility clinic urgently for increasing bleeding, worsening pelvic pain, persistent vomiting, marked abdominal swelling, reduced urination, or shortness of breath. Seek emergency care for severe or one-sided abdominal pain, shoulder-tip pain, heavy bleeding, fainting, dizziness, chest pain, or difficulty breathing. These symptoms require assessment regardless of a home-test result.

Confirm which test to use, when the clinic wants the result, and what an unclear result means for repeat testing. If the test is positive, ask when medicines will be reviewed and when the pregnancy location will be checked. If it is negative, ask whether any medicine should stop immediately and when a follow-up discussion can occur.
